Outdoor Challenge Day 10: Water Day!

On Friday we all gathered in the tipi and heard the Indigenous story of Turtle Island. Then we worked together to create our own turtles. It was great to see the students working together and teaching each other.

Special thanks to Andy McKiel for stopping by and taking some excellent photos.

In the afternoon we changed into our swim suits and turned on the water!

Outdoor Challenge Day 9

Thursday was another beautiful and HOT day!

We started with our sign in question. Now instead of just saying which bird they like best, students are also comparing and contrasting characteristics of the birds.

Daily yoga routine. You can see our tipi getting set up in the background.

Turning our shelter into an office space with computers for working.

Students made their own shelter today.
In gym, the students have been rotating through a circuit of activities.

In the afternoon we used the sun and our shadows to create art to decorate for the Family BBQ.

Outdoor Challenge Day 8

On Wednesday morning we had some lovely visitors. They brought more materials for our loom and supplies to create bubble caterpillars. The students had SO much fun creating and testing their bubble blowers.

Using soil and compost to plant flowers.

In the afternoon we all went for a walk to the Rod's Park.
