We're Melting in Here!

On Monday one of our friends brought a huge chunk of snow in from recess. Rather than sending him back outside with it, we decided to be scientist and observe what would happen to the ice in our classroom.

We put it in a big bin and watched it closely. Throughout the day it started to melt, VERY slowly!

We wondered if there was anything we could do to make it melt faster.

Here are some of our ideas:




Today we got to test them out.

Watching ice melt is serious business!
