Soapstone Carving

Today we have two guest bloggers. They would like to tell you what we did today.

Hi its me Jessica and Logan. We did carving. We made irow hids (arrow heads).

Michael Manyeagles came to teach the students about soapstone carving. They used files and scrubbing pads to shape and polish their creations.

Hi Room 8,
I think this activity was so much fun! I got to make a necklace too. The soapstone is so soft and smooth. I cannot stop touching it! I think Michael ManyEagles was very kind to come spend time with us at our school. I hope he can come back again someday and tell us more of his interesting stories.
