Play date

Today we had a play date with our grade 4/5 buddies. We usually read together but today they came to our classroom to play with us. (The lights were off in our classroom because we are still really excited about exploring light and shadows).

Technology Buddies

Today we got to meet with our grade 4/5 buddies again! This time half of us went to the computer lab and half of us stayed in the classroom. Both groups showed their buddies our Kindergarten blog.  Some of our buddies even left comments!

The students who stayed in the classroom read books together.  We LOVE spending time with our buddies!

Libraries and Learning Buddies

   On Friday, some of the students decided to create their own library inside of our classroom. To facilitate their play we added book bags, a date stamp, and some library cards.  The students even created their own keyboard to look up books for the library visitors.

  Later in the afternoon we met with our learning buddies. Each Kindergarten student is paired with one or two grade 4/5 buddies. We will be meeting once each school cycle to read and work on technology projects.
